Knee Pain Treatment in Grand Rapids, MN

Person holding a painful knee

Knee pain is rarely just a knee problem. A stiff hip, a tight IT band, a flat foot or the way you walk can all put extra strain on the knee. We look at the whole leg so we can treat the cause, not just the spot that hurts.

What We Treat

  • Pain in the front of the knee (patellofemoral pain)
  • IT band pain on the outside of the knee
  • Mild meniscus and ligament strains
  • Knee pain from running, sports or kneeling at work
  • Stiff, achy knees from arthritis

How We Help

We start with an exam of your knee, hips, feet and low back. Treatment can include adjustments to the knee, hip and ankle, Graston and ART soft-tissue work, cold laser therapy, strengthening exercises and custom orthotics if your feet are part of the problem.

When to See a Medical Doctor First

If your knee is badly swollen, locks up, gives out, or you can’t put weight on it after an injury, get it checked by a medical doctor first. If you need imaging or a surgical consult, we’ll help point you in the right direction.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral?
No. You can come straight to us.

Can a chiropractor help after knee surgery?
Often, yes. We can help with the hips, back and other areas that take on extra load while you recover, and coordinate with your surgeon or physical therapist.

How long will it take?
It depends on what’s going on and how long you’ve had it. We’ll give you a realistic idea at your first visit.
