Insurance & Payment FAQ
We want getting care to be simple and stress-free. Here are answers to the questions we hear most about insurance and payment. Click a question to see the answer. Still have a question? Call us at (218) 326-1804.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept most major insurance plans, plus Medicare, Medicaid, auto accident claims and workers’ compensation. Call us at (218) 326-1804 with your plan details and we’ll confirm your coverage before your first visit.
Will you check my benefits before I come in?
Yes. Our team checks your coverage ahead of time and goes over any out-of-pocket costs (copay, deductible or coinsurance) with you upfront, so there are no surprises.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Your insurance card, a photo ID, and any medical records or past X-rays or MRIs that relate to your condition. You can also fill out your new patient forms online before your visit.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes. Medicare covers chiropractic adjustments when they’re medically necessary. It usually doesn’t cover exams, X-rays, massage or other services. We’ll tell you before treatment about anything Medicare won’t pay for.
I was in a car accident. Will my care be covered?
Usually, yes. Minnesota is a no-fault state, so your auto policy’s Personal Injury Protection (PIP) generally pays for accident-related care no matter who caused the crash. Bring your claim number and your auto insurance information, and we’ll handle the billing.
I was hurt at work. Can you help?
Yes, we treat workers’ compensation cases. Please report the injury to your employer first, then bring your claim number and your employer’s or insurer’s contact information to your visit.
Is massage therapy covered by insurance?
We don’t bill health insurance for massage therapy. If you were hurt in a car accident, though, massage can often be billed to your auto insurance’s Personal Injury Protection (PIP) as part of your treatment. For everyone else, we offer affordable cash prices, and in many cases you can use your HSA or FSA.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes. Chiropractic care is an eligible expense, and we’re happy to provide any receipts or paperwork you need for reimbursement.
What if I don’t have insurance?
You’re still welcome here. We offer affordable cash prices and reduced-payment plans to make care fit your budget. Call us at (218) 326-1804 and we’ll go over your options before you begin care.
What if my insurance changes during my care?
Let our front desk know as soon as possible and bring your new card. We’ll re-check your benefits so your billing stays accurate.
