Our Techniques
Focused adjustments unique to each individual’s needs allow us to restore your body’s ability to heal itself. We commonly incorporate the following techniques into our patients care:
- Diversified: It’s a gold standard technique in chiropractic care, the diversified technique is a hands-on adjustment method that involves spinal manipulation.
- Drop Table: This technique involves using a moveable table, where a section ‘drops’ during an adjustment to help provide a low-force yet effective experience for the patient.
- Activator: This hand-held instrument provides extremely gentle and precise adjustments, making it ideal for seniors and children, however it’s effective for patients of all ages.
- Mechanical Traction: This technique incorporates a moveable table to help stretch muscles, mobilize joints, and decompress the nerves, joints, and discs. This technique can be especially beneficial when patients are dealing with pain, tingling, or numbness in their legs or feet.
- Applied Kinesiology (AK) – Offered by Dr. Newman Only: A diagnostic and treatment approach that uses muscle testing to evaluate imbalances in the body and guide care.
*Emphasizes a holistic approach by addressing nutrition, stress, and body alignment
*Offers individualized, non-invasive care based on real-time feedback from the body
- Electrical Stimulation: While not an adjustment technique, electrical muscle stimulation provides electrical therapy directly to your muscles before an adjustment happens. This allows them to loosen up and relax, helping your adjustment last longer. Muscle stimulation also helps to decrease inflammation, pain, and improve healing.
- Cold/Heat Therapy: We may use cold or heat packs, depending on the specific condition. Ice packs help decrease pain and swelling while heat packs can be beneficial for loosening tight muscles, improve circulation, and speed up the healing process.
- The ArthroStim Technique: A modern chiropractic method that uses a handheld instrument to deliver rapid, low-force thrusts to the spine or joints—ideal for patients sensitive to manual adjustments.Key Benefits »

What to Expect
When you arrive for your first visit, we’ll begin by taking your complete health history to best understand what is going on with your body. We will reach a proper diagnosis so we can get to work helping you feel better and live your best life.
After we take your health history, we may take a scan of your spine with our Subluxation Station to identify areas of stress and tension in your body. We’ll show you the results of the scan so you can see exactly how spinal disturbances are affecting your body. If necessary, we’ll also take digital x-rays on site.
Next, we’ll discuss your treatment plan with you, which will be entirely custom to your needs. If you’re in agreement and would like to move forward with an adjustment, we’ll begin care. Please know that care with us is entirely up to you–we’ll never pressure or force you to receive an adjustment if you’re not comfortable. If, for any reason, we aren’t able to help you, we will refer you to someone who can.
